Where'd that girl go who used to blog...?

...here I am!

Just in case you start wondering what happened to me, please look to your left. There is a tiny box with a word count in it. This is my NaNoWriMo project. It is slowly and painfully struggling to get to 50,000 by the end of the month!

I am also really buckling down and studying Japanese!

...help

If I could help I would!! But writing novels and speaking Japanese are beyond my Supermom capabilities! But I will continue to pray for you, dear one! You are doing so well with your goals. I am proud of you for registering for the JLPT(?), and I know you will do your best. But don't forget all those adventures waiting for you away from your computer.

I love reading your blog and miss when you do not post, but I completely understand the concept of being overwhelmed by an assignment. No guilt feelings, ok?!

As for the picture, you need to send it to the NaNoWriMo people. It is a classic.

I love you.

How many pages is 26,000 words? Did your characters ever fill you in on what is happening?

I cannot find the little box to the left. How many words do you have. This is your dad writing and asking. I love you.

YOU ARE CERTAINLY WORKING HARD. BY THE WAY ,
DOES THE MAIN CHARACTER HAVE A LOVE INTEREST?
I HOPE THIS BOOK IS NOT A MURDER MYSTERY. I
ALMOST NEVER READ THEM.

Hey girl--I am sooooooooooooooo proud of you!!! 26,000+ is an amazing word count--you can do it!!!! Remember NOT to edit yourself--just let it pour out on the page. You aren't necessarily looking for quality at this point---you want Quantity!!! You can revise later!!! [note to sharon: I think that a page of double-spaced writing has around 300-350 words per page--I THINK]

love you Liz, soooooooooooooo much

Right now, I have 42 single-spaced pages :-) No one has been murdered yet, but who knows what will happen next? Not me, I'm just along for the ride!

The basic plot right now seems to be about a girl who buys a lot of coffee. She keeps going to coffee shops and getting coffee to go. Possibly because the author misses coffee to go?

I'm on page 46 now...and I'm going to bed! I am closer to being caught up now!

Yahoo...you are doing so well! Did you ever think when you applied for JET that you would be writing a novel? Does your coffee-drinking heroine live in Japan and have similar adventures to you??? Your adventures are certainly worthy of publishing!

34835 words!!! WOW!! Go Liz Go...only about 15,000 more words. Will that finish your story? Mary wants to know if you have to turn the writing in for it to be counted. Or do you just report your own word count?

36773...if I am not mistaken, I think this is further than the last time I commented?? Down to 13,000...yea-a-a-a-a-a...I love you.

I guess for you it is Thanksgiving though it is still the Eve here. So strange to be living where the holidays are different!
