Exploring Horonobe: Relax Bear, meet Relax Cow

I decided to go exploring this weekend. Sometimes, I like to choose a local train stop and explore the area around it. I wanted to choose a stop I'd never been to before, so the lucky station was Yasuushi, 3 stops past Horonobe. It is about an hour and 10 minutes from my house.

I chose Yasuushi because the kanji that make the name make me smile. They can be read in English one way as Relax Cow. Heeheehee.

Of course, Rilakkuma means Relax Bear, so Kori was also excited to visit this stop.

We didn't see many cows, though. I guess they were all off relaxing.

It turned out to be the perfect day for exploring. Lots of fluffy white clouds and a great temperature. I got eaten by skeeters, but Kori was fine.

There are several new posts below this one. I actually blogged the day backwards, so if you are just getting here, please keep reading!

Now, it's time for me to go finish packing for a seminar this week. I have no idea what I'm going to wear!

These were delightful! Picture 2 was one of my favorites. I still can't imagine being voluntarily dropped off at nowhere---and then hiking, dancing, and roaming my way towards civilization. You are one adventurous woman!

Liz -- some great pictures here but my personal favorite is #6 in the first group of 10. Fantastic composition -- well worth being in a show (seriously).
