My mom teaches elementary school 2nd grade, and today I got to visit her class and be her “ALT”. I have visited her class each time I’ve come home to talk to the students about Japan, and for them to do some Japan related activities. Today we sang a song, read a book about Japan, looked at pictures, learned to count, and tried some exciting foods.
I have to be really careful with pictures, but this one definitely is OK. Maybe I’ll have another picture for you later, if it is approved.
One of my favorite things about visit day is watching the expressions when the students try the different foods. Some of the kids were utterly horrified at whatever it is they ate, and some were crazy eager to get seconds. But my other favorite thing is just the variety of questions the students come up with.
All in all, it was a fun day, and I’d write longer, but I’m falling aslee…zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
