Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July! When I was younger, one of my favorite jokes was to ask people if they had the 4th of July in England. I'd always hope to get that one person who'd say no (thinking I meant Independence Day) so I could have the joy of saying that of course they have the 4th of July in England. It's right between the 3rd and the 5th.

Well, it's the 4th of July in Japan now, but it's just the day between the 3rd and the 5th. I went out for a run this morning and was shocked at how chilly it was! But, I have some exciting things planned for the day. I have a new coffee taste sensation (a dash of maple extract), cheesecake for breakfast, and there is a red pepper with my name on it. They were only 100 yen apiece at the store yesterday. I also have a big sheet of homemade chocolate!

We do have a holiday coming up this day - Marine Day is the third Monday of this month. Yay!

Happy 4th!

I cannot tell a lie - it was. You wouldn't really have liked it, as it was caramel coffee flavored. I also have some lemon ones that are pretty nice!
