In just a short amount of time, I will be heading off to Japan. I am trying to remind myself that this is a unique and exciting experience, and not just a sad farewell.
But I don't like partings!
I wrote a long blog post yesterday, but it is stuck in my laptop in Windows Live Writer. The laptop is tucked away in my luggage. One day the post will be free!
Next post will probably be from Japan!

Guess what? After my appointment, I was driving east on Lakeland realizing it was almost time for your takeoff. After glancing behind me frequently to try to spot your plane, I pulled into McDonald's and stared into the sky. It was 9:44. There in front of my eyes was a fairly small(small because it was fairly high) white plane just taking off. It headed towards me and then slowly circled and headed off in the direction I assume is Dallas.
I don't know for sure that this was you, but I decided to assume it was. So, I sat in the car saying goodbye to your plane and telling you that I love you. I watched until the clouds obscured my vision.
Then I pulled into the drive through and ordered 2 breakfast burritos! I topped those with a bottled water. Not too bad sofar, but dessert at home was a large "you know what." OK...sadness eating must stop NOW!
I am so proud of you and your adventurous "I will follow God anywhere" spirit. Can't wait to hear what other "beyond expectation" events occur in the next 2 days! So far, it is free baggage, an aisle seat, and being in your Wii age and initial seat!!!
