So, this being the last day of January and all, I thought I should check in on my resolutions and see how they are coming along. I try to get them to work independently, but somehow I always have to be there for anything to get done with them. Oh, well. (~_~)
OK, fellas, line up!
1. Take a photo (almost) every day this year.
This is going pretty well – I think I’ve only missed one. They certainly
need to be organized, though!
2. Blog every day in January and February.
I think I just missed one or two days in January. Hard to tell with the
weird dates due to my international travels!
3. Walk/run/bike from Wakkanai to Sapporo
I’m about halfway there! Woohoo! I should start adding all my incidental
walking, like to school, work, church, the grocery store.
4. Finish my novel (at least enough so that it can be read without extreme amounts of pain and confusion)
Um, I worked on it for a little while (not much)
5. Try something creative every once in a while.
I kind of forgot that this was a resolution until basically now. Does
making some new recipes count?
6. Read one non-fiction book or classic each month
Aww, yeah! Both, baby! I read Of Mice and Men for my classic, and
City of Man: Religion and Politics in a New Era for my work of non
fiction. The latter I enjoyed, the former, well, the one thing I
remembered about Steinbeck from high school is that The Pearl was
short. This book was also short, which was highly in its favor.
Oh, and one other…I decided to try the K-Love challenge of listening only to Christian music for 30 days. It’s been good!
And now, welcome, new February! January was a long, but good month (which is weird, because it was really about half a day shorter for me)
