From the road #1

Sometimes, life has unexpected surprises...like streamers coming from a boat. BTW, this isn't the ferry! It's a really big boat that made a stop at the island. The high schoolers played some music, so I went to watch. It was a very unique experience!

Whoa-a-a-a-a! That is humongous! Is it a Japanese cruise ship? I think of cruise ships stopping in exotic places like Cancun, etc. I guess I have never imagined signing up for a cruise that stops in northern Japan. But when I consider the issue, your islands ARE gorgeous with moderate summer temps, so who wouldn't want to visit?? Also evidenced by your overcrowded ferry! Enjoy all the tourists. Does it feel strange being a resident?
