Hello all! Welcome to Golden Week, a collection of holidays when a huge amount of the population of Japan travels somewhere! As you know, I travel fairly frequently myself, so I am having a staycation right here!
I had some guests come late last night and leave early this morning to catch the ferry - they were actually gone before I woke up (oops). Now, before you think I'm a huge slugabed (is that supposed to be hyphenated? I dunno), I was actually up a little before 7. Ferries leave early around here - well, either that or a very polite rapture happened that folded up all the blankets. Then, we may all be in much more trouble than we originally thought! Ok, I'm pretty sure that's not the case!
So anyway, I wandered around the house in my favorite jammies for a while, and then called home for the sheer novelty of calling home on a weekday. I had a great chat with the fam - talked much longer than I planned, but I enjoyed it.
Then, I had a great Skype text chat with another friend who I haven't really been able to talk with for ages, so that was nice, too!
Since it's a drizzly day, I curled up on my "couch" and read for a while. Now, I'm thinking about folding some laundry. But it is a lazy, wonderful day!
So far, I love Golden Week! We'll see how long it takes before I'm bored! :-)
Laundry calls!

What have you read this week? I finished my third one in the Oregon series by Cussler.
