Ok, my apartment is in some definite need of help. I think all will agree!
Ideally, my goal is to have an apartment that looks inhabited by an adult female - not a poverty-stricken college student!My pans right now are to put shelves under the windows, add a chair on the diagonal where that itty-bitty couch is, and run a small sofa/loveseat parallel to the window (to kind of make a seating area definition. I also want some bright green curtains. Not emerald and not lime, but just a vibrant green. I saw some in Sapporo with a cute green pattern, but I think they would look way too 70's when combine with my lovely paneling!

Can you frame some of your original photos for your walls? Then you could use the photos as goodbye gifts when it is time to leave(since glass would not travel too well.)
In the living room, am I seeing flooring or a checkered carpet? If it is flooring, is that the part that is heated? Would an area rug in your "seating area" help pull things together? And don't forget the coffee table for your laptop and/or meals!!
I am so excited to see progress in this effort! I believe it will really be a morale-booster! I am so proud of you!
